Our main Arenas and Fields are located on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Henqeminem speaking peoples, including Tsawwassen and Musqueam. We recognize our neighbours the Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish), Tsleil-Waututh, Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Hwiltsum, and Qayqayt First Nations. As traditional territories overlapped, they too may have a relationship with the lands we now call Delta. We recognize and honor those who have been stewards of this land since time immemorial.

Welcome Back to Box Lacrosse Season — Registration Opens Friday, December 12!

We’re excited to officially welcome everyone back as we gear up for another incredible season of Box Lacrosse in Delta. Registration for the 2026 season opens Friday, December 12, and we can’t wait to get things rolling once again.

Please stay connected through our social channels and the DLA website for updates, program details, and important season information as we lead into the new year.
A heartfelt thank you to all our athletes, families, volunteers, and coaches for your continued support. Our community is the heartbeat of this association, and we look forward to rolling out a full lineup of preseason activities to get everyone prepared for another strong season.

Evaluations, Player Commitment & Third-Party Assessments
As part of this year’s registration process, athletes will be asked to confirm their commitment to the evaluation schedule, if they wish to be considered for placement on the top teams within their respective divisions. Consistency and attendance are vital for a fair and accurate assessment process.
We are also excited to continue offering third-party evaluations, led proudly by Delta lacrosse legend Logan Schuss, to ensure objective, consistent, and development-focused assessments for all players. This neutral perspective is essential in helping align athletes with the appropriate competitive level and providing coaches with reliable insights for player development planning.

To help cover the costs associated with bringing in professional evaluators and organizing these weekends, a small nominal fee of $20 per player will be applied during registration.

SAVE THE DATES:

Evaluations will be held the weekends of February 27th and March 6. Updates and confirmations will be also updated in Team Snap once available.

Tryouts and evaluations are essential to:
Effective season planning and balanced team formation

Developing individualized growth plans for athletes

Providing coaches with accurate, unbiased assessment data

Ensuring players are placed where they can succeed and develop

Aligning our program with best practices used across BC and future pathways

We appreciate your commitment to this process—it strengthens our entire program and supports a positive, growth-minded environment for all athletes.

Volunteers, Coaches & Team Staff
Our volunteers are the backbone of the Delta Lacrosse Association, and we are always grateful for the individuals who step forward to help shape our athletes and our community.
If you are interested in becoming a coach, assistant coach, team manager, or division manager, please complete the application forms available on our website. Your involvement directly impacts our athletes’ development and helps ensure another successful season across all divisions.

What’s Coming This Preseason
This year, we’re excited to launch several initiatives to support player development and community engagement, including:
Sticks to School Program in partnership with the Vancouver Warriors — bringing lacrosse into gymnasiums and inspiring new youth participation.

Come Try Lacrosse Events- January 31st and February 27th at the Outdoor Box welcoming curious families and new athletes to explore the sport.

Preseason Warm-Ups beginning January 11, running every Sunday at the Outdoor Box — open sessions designed to get players confident and evaluation-ready.

Preseason Academies & Goalie Training — specialized programming to help all athletes elevate their skills; full details coming soon.

There is so much to look forward to as we wrap up an exciting 2025/26 Field season and transition into another memorable year of Box.
We can’t wait to see everyone back at the arenas. Thank you for your continued support—let’s make this our strongest season yet!
